Sesame cream sauce.



Sesame cream sauce, also known as tarator sauce, is a popular accompaniment in Lebanese cuisine, often served with beef shawarma , fish, grilled vegetables or falafel. Here is the recipe cup of tahini (sesame paste)

. 1 tasse de tahini (crème de sésame)

  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed

  • Juice of 2 lemons

  • 1/2 cup cold water (more if needed to adjust consistency)

  • Salt, to taste

  • A few sprigs of fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine tahini with lemon juice and crushed garlic. Add salt.

  2. While stirring, gradually add cold water until the sauce reaches your desired consistency; it should be creamy but not too thick.

  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

  4. Stir in chopped parsley for added flavor and color (optional).

  5. Serve chilled with your favorite dishes.
