🇬🇧 Homemade Pita Bread Recipe
🥣 Ingredients (Makes 8 pitas)
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 ¼ cup warm water
👨🍳 Instructions
Activate yeast with warm water and sugar (5–10 min).
Mix flour and salt, add oil and yeast mixture.
Knead until smooth and elastic (8–10 min).
Let rise 1 hour.
Divide into 8 balls, rest 15 min.
Roll thin and bake at 480°F for 4–6 min or cook in a hot skillet.
Watch them puff up beautifully!
