🇬🇧 Homemade Pita Bread Recipe

🥣 Ingredients (Makes 8 pitas)

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 ¼ cup warm water

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Activate yeast with warm water and sugar (5–10 min).

  2. Mix flour and salt, add oil and yeast mixture.

  3. Knead until smooth and elastic (8–10 min).

  4. Let rise 1 hour.

  5. Divide into 8 balls, rest 15 min.

  6. Roll thin and bake at 480°F for 4–6 min or cook in a hot skillet.

Watch them puff up beautifully!
